Donald Trump stumbles as he tried to grab garbage truck door handle in rally stunt - Irish Star

Oct 31, 2024

Donald Trump had a hard time getting his car door open at a press conference Wednesday.

The former president was in Wisconsin rallying voters, fresh off his political event in Madison Square Garden. Many were outraged by the joke Tony Hinchcliffe made at the rally, where he called Puerto Rico an island of “floating garbage.”

Trump has come out to say he has “no idea” who the comedian is. That no longer seems true, as he pulled a stunt relating to the joke in Wisconsin.

President Joe Biden then seemed to call Trump and his supporters garbage after the MSG rally. Tonight, the Republican nominee wanted to poke fun at the comment by riding in a garbage truck at a press conference.

Trump wore a bright orange vest and told reporters at the event: “250 million people are not garbage. I can tell you who the real garbage is but I won't say that.”

He then walked to the truck, completely missing the door handle. As he did, he almost fell over.

It took him another try to finally grab the door handle. He tried to keep his composure, but people noticed the slip up.

The video was posted on X, and some viewers were curious if he was okay.

One person wrote: “LMAO, is he drunk?”

Another said: “Sometimes the garbage takes itself out.”

A third person replied: “What a ridiculous stunt and all he did was elevate the concerns he’s cognitively and physically declined.”
